MELEE GAMING ASSOCIATION

As a casual gamer, I competed in a game called Chivalry Medieval Warfare by Torn Banner Studios.  Some of the men who shared the same experience started up a company, MGA, and wanted to provide Melee Gaming updates, discussion and reviews to gamers who shared the same experience and interests.  As we got to know each other over the year, they pitched the idea to me about starting up this online resource and needed help with the direction of their online market.

Solution

User research on gamers who enjoyed Chivalry Medieval Warfare.  Find out what games they were open to, experience with other melee games, and what type of information they desired to read about.  Based off of the experience, form a type of content hierarchy for MGA target audience and execute an informational website and mobile website.

The “Hand-Off”

Once I had everything laid out and the shared ideas with the Company Executives.  There were a few loose ends to tie but weren’t anything that needed to stop the procedure for development.  As the main layout templates were designed and I as the developer have chosen WordPress, we were ready for development.  I had chosen WordPress as the best tool for both their clients and the usability for the future Web Master for MGA.

Project Management

As the assets have been handed over to our development team, it was now my responsibility to manage the development team and make sure that they were on track.  Reporting to the Executives of 9to5 Seating, it was now my responsibility to assure the project was going into the right direction and communicate any obstacles we’ve come across.

Project Update

The MGA Project has been launched the Summer of 2016.  It was found by JetPack that the site has a great success rate and is still undergoing A/B testing.  I am currently still on board with their web and online advertisement
